Who Is Considered a Transfer?
Transfer status applies to students with 30 or more transferable college credits earned after high school/GED. Applicants with 24–29 transferable hours may be reviewed using transfer guidelines but retain freshman academic classification.
How Your Credits Transfer
We complete an evaluation after we receive your application and official transcripts. The goal is to maximize applicable credit toward your Ecclesia degree while maintaining academic integrity and program requirements.
- College transcripts from every institution attended are required.
- High school transcript with graduation date is required, but may be waived with an associate degree or ≥60 transferable semester hours.
- Standardized test scores are not required for admission; they may be used for scholarships, placement, or NCCAA eligibility. Applicants without scores may complete placement testing.
International transfer students: submit a course-by-course evaluation via InCred (athletes) or SpanTran (all others), meet English proficiency if required (TOEFL iBT 80 with 20+ subscores, IELTS 6.5, or Duolingo 105), and provide financial documentation for I-20. See International Admissions.
Your Path to Enroll (4 Steps)
- Apply → Start Your Application.
- Send transcripts from all colleges (and high school unless you hold an AA or ≥60 hours).
- Credit evaluation—we’ll map how credits apply to your intended major and advise on the fastest route to finish.
- Decision & next steps: interview, financial planning, registration, and orientation.
Priority Admission Deadlines
- Fall: June 1
- Spring: November 1
We review on a rolling basis. Late files may still be reviewed; Ecclesia may defer to a later term if there isn’t enough time to complete essential steps (aid, registration, and—if applicable—visa processing).
Scholarships & Affordability
Many transfer students combine institutional scholarships with federal and state aid. Start with our net price tools, then talk with our team.
Work-Learning: Many students participate in our campus Work-Learning program. It’s graded and separate from academics; participation and placement are confirmed during enrollment.
Official Transcript Submission
Request official transcripts be sent directly to Ecclesia from each institution. Preferred electronic delivery: National Student Clearinghouse (EDI), Parchment (including Naviance), SCOIR, or Triand. Transcripts may also be emailed to admissions@ecollege.edu or mailed to:

Transfer FAQs
Are test scores required for transfer admission?
No. Scores are not required for admission. You may submit ACT/SAT/CLT for scholarship consideration or placement; otherwise, placement testing is available.
Will my D or remedial courses transfer?
Transfer decisions are based on transferable coursework per catalog policy and program requirements. Your official evaluation will specify what applies to your degree plan.
How fast do I get a credit evaluation?
Once we receive your application and required transcripts, we begin your evaluation and advise you on the fastest route to finish. Timing depends on when official transcripts arrive.
Do you accept AP, CLEP/DSST, IB, or portfolio credit?
Credit by examination is available (catalog fee applies). Portfolio assessment may be available for mature students based on experience. Contact the Registrar for current options and evaluations.
