Most freshman and transfer applicants planning to begin in Fall 2027 can expect these core parts of the admission process. Your applicant portal will tell you if something additional applies to you.

In approximately 200–400 words, tell us about your faith journey, your relationship with Jesus Christ, and where you are in your spiritual growth today.

Your applicant portal will provide instructions for requesting a reference from someone who can help Ecclesia understand your character, maturity, and readiness for the college community.
Admissions Assessment
Once the required parts of your file are ready, Admissions reviews your application to better understand your academic preparation, character, and fit with Ecclesia’s Christ-centered educational environment.
If we need a conversation, clarification, interview, or additional information, Admissions will contact you.It is not another form every applicant has to complete. If an interview, conversation, clarification, or additional document would help us complete the review, Admissions will let you know what is needed.
Academic Readiness
Start with your academic record.
Ecclesia uses published GPA standards to help determine readiness for college-level study. Standardized test scores are not required for general admission.
Freshman GPA
Minimum published cumulative high school GPA for standard freshman admission.
Transfer GPA
Minimum published cumulative college GPA for standard transfer admission.
ACT / SAT / CLT
Scores are not required for general admission. They may still be useful or required for academic scholarships, course placement, or athletic eligibility.
Fewer than 30 transferable college credits after high school
Freshman applicants generally include students entering college after high school as well as students who have earned fewer than 30 transferable college credit hours after high school graduation or GED completion.
Your academic review normally begins with an official high school or homeschool transcript. GED completion is also accepted.
30 or more transferable college credits
Transfer applicants generally have earned 30 or more transferable college credit hours after high school or GED completion.
Ecclesia requires official transcripts from the colleges or universities you have attended. Your applicant portal will show whether a high school transcript is also required.
Applicants with 24–29 transferable hours may be reviewed using transfer admission guidelines while retaining freshman academic classification.

More Than Grades
Why does Ecclesia ask about faith and character?
Because they are part of the education you are applying to receive. Ecclesia is an institution of biblical higher education. Christian formation is not an extracurricular feature added around your degree; it is part of the College’s mission and student experience.
Faith Journey Statement
This gives you space to tell Ecclesia about your relationship with Jesus Christ, how your faith has developed, where you are today, and how you hope to continue growing.
Reference Form
Grades tell us something about your academic preparation. A reference can help us understand more about your character, maturity, responsibility, and readiness to be part of the Ecclesia community.
Admissions Assessment
Admissions considers the pieces of your application together. When more context would help, we may ask a question, request additional information, or talk with you before making a decision.
Official Academic Records
Send the transcript Ecclesia needs to review your application.
Official transcripts should come directly from the issuing school, institution, or approved transcript provider whenever possible.
Electronic delivery is preferred.
Ecclesia accepts official electronic transcripts through approved services including:
- National Student Clearinghouse
- Parchment, including Naviance
- SCOIR
- Triand
- Other approved secure transcript providers

Admission review and final enrollment are different steps.
The Official Transcript for Admission Review gives Admissions the academic record needed to evaluate your application.
If you are still completing high school or college coursework when you are admitted, Ecclesia may later require a final official transcript showing your completed coursework and, when applicable, graduation or degree information.
You do not have to wait until graduation to apply. Send the transcript needed for admission review now, then complete the final transcript requirement after graduation when it appears in your enrollment checklist.
Different Path?
Some students have additional or different requirements.
You should not have to sort through requirements that do not apply to you. Use the path that best matches how you plan to enroll.
International / F-1 Students
International applicants complete the appropriate freshman or transfer admission requirements, plus any applicable international academic-record, English-proficiency, financial, and immigration documentation.

High school students taking Ecclesia courses before graduation follow the Early College process rather than the traditional undergraduate admission checklist.

You do not need an ACT, SAT, or CLT score to apply.
Standardized test scores are not required for general admission to Ecclesia. You may still choose to submit scores, and scores may be used for academic scholarship consideration, course placement, or athletic eligibility.

Ecclesia reviews applications on a rolling basis. The priority dates below give you more time to work through financial aid, housing, registration, and enrollment preparation after an admission decision.

Admissions Questions
A few things you may be wondering.
Do I need to have everything ready before I start my application?
No. Start your application first. Once you have applied, your applicant portal will show the documents and other requirements Ecclesia still needs from you.
Do dual or concurrent college credits make me a transfer applicant?
College credits earned while you are still in high school do not by themselves make you a transfer applicant. Ecclesia generally considers college credit earned after high school graduation when determining freshman or transfer admission status.
Do I need ACT, SAT, or CLT scores?
Not for general admission. Scores may still be used for academic scholarships, course placement, or athletic eligibility.
What if my GPA is below 2.3 or 2.0?
You may still apply. Applicants below the published standard may receive individual review so Ecclesia can better understand the academic record, readiness for college work, and relevant circumstances.
What should I write in my Faith Journey Statement?
Tell your story in your own words. For Fall 2027, the statement is approximately 200–400 words and asks you to describe your faith journey, your relationship with Jesus Christ, and where you are in your spiritual growth today. Your applicant portal will provide the complete prompt.
Is the Admissions Assessment an interview?
Not necessarily. The Admissions Assessment is Ecclesia’s review of your admission file. If a conversation, interview, clarification, or additional information would be helpful, Admissions will contact you with the next step.
Why does Ecclesia ask about my Christian faith?
Ecclesia is an institution of biblical higher education. Christian formation is part of the educational experience, so understanding your faith journey helps both you and Ecclesia consider whether the College’s mission and community are a good fit.
What if my applicant portal asks for something that is not listed here?
Follow your applicant portal. Requirements can vary based on entry term, applicant type, academic history, international status, or individual admissions review. Contact Admissions if you do not understand why an item is being requested.
