Transferring colleges should not mean starting over. Ecclesia will review your previous college work, help you understand how applicable credits may fit your degree, and give you a clear path through the admission process.
Standard transfer admission begins with a 2.0 cumulative college GPA. Applicants below the published standard may receive individual review.

Are you considered a transfer applicant?
Your applicant type depends on college credit earned after high school or GED completion—not simply whether you have ever taken a college course.
Transfer Applicant
If you have earned 30 or more transferable college credit hours after high school or GED completion, you are generally reviewed as a transfer applicant.
Transfer Review, Freshman Classification
Applicants with 24–29 transferable college credit hours may be reviewed using transfer admission guidelines while retaining freshman academic classification.
Dual or concurrent enrollment credit does not by itself make you a transfer applicant. Ecclesia generally looks at transferable college credit earned after high school graduation or GED completion when determining freshman or transfer admission status.

Your Major Matters
A course may be accepted for college credit without satisfying a specific requirement in every degree. How your credits apply depends in part on the program you plan to complete.

Faith Journey Statement
In approximately 200–400 words, tell us about your relationship with Jesus Christ and your faith journey.
Reference Form
Ask someone who knows you well to provide perspective on your character, maturity, and readiness for the Ecclesia community.
Admissions Assessment
Admissions reviews your completed file. If we need an interview, clarification, or additional information, we will contact you.

Transfer admission begins with your college academic record. Ecclesia also considers the complete application when making an admission decision.
Transfer GPA
Minimum published cumulative college GPA for standard transfer admission.
Transferable Credits
General threshold for transfer applicant status based on credit earned after high school or GED completion.
ACT / SAT / CLT
Standardized test scores are not required for general transfer admission. Scores may still matter for scholarships, placement, or athletic eligibility.
You may still apply. Applicants below the published standard may receive individual review so Ecclesia can better understand the academic record, circumstances, and readiness to continue college.
Transfer applicants are normally expected to be eligible to return to their most recent college or university. Admissions may review individual circumstances when an exception may be appropriate.

Electronic delivery is preferred. Ecclesia accepts official transcripts through approved secure services including:

- Parchment, including Naviance
- SCOIR
- Triand
- Other approved secure transcript providers

Transfer Student-Athletes
Planning to compete for the Royals?
Admission to Ecclesia, transfer-credit evaluation, and athletic eligibility are separate decisions.
Transfer student-athletes must meet current NCCAA eligibility requirements in addition to Ecclesia’s admission requirements. Your previous college enrollment and academic history may affect your eligibility to compete.
International Transfer Students
Transferring from a college outside the U.S. or already studying here in F-1 status?
International transfer students complete the appropriate transfer admission requirements plus any credential-evaluation, English proficiency, Form I-20, financial, or SEVIS transfer requirements that apply to them.

When will I know how my credits apply to my degree?
Ecclesia needs your official college transcripts to complete an accurate evaluation. Your academic evaluation will show how accepted coursework applies to your intended program.
Do I need to send my high school transcript?
Not every transfer applicant will need one. Your applicant portal will show whether a high school transcript is required based on your academic history or Ecclesia’s individual review.
Do I need ACT, SAT, or CLT scores?
No. Standardized test scores are not required for general transfer admission. Scores may still be used for scholarships, course placement, or athletic eligibility.
What if my college GPA is below 2.0?
You may still apply. Applicants below the published transfer GPA standard may receive individual review so Ecclesia can better understand the academic record, circumstances, and readiness to continue college.
Does being admitted mean I am eligible to compete in athletics?
No. Admission, transfer-credit evaluation, and athletic eligibility are separate decisions. Transfer student-athletes must also meet current NCCAA eligibility requirements before competing for Ecclesia.
I am an international transfer student. Which process should I follow?
Complete the transfer admission process and review Ecclesia’s International Admissions information. Additional credential, English proficiency, financial, Form I-20, or SEVIS requirements may apply depending on your situation.
