State Authorization
Ecclesia College is a participant in the National Council of State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA). This allows students from NC-SARA approved states to enroll into EC Online courses and degree programs with several benefits, including an additional appeal process to resolve any complaints.

Please understand that Ecclesia College will not seek verification of the physical location from which you are taking an online course. We realize some students have a permanent residence in one state while residing temporarily in another state or country for work or educational purposes. The institution you choose to learn from is up to you. However, students should know that Ecclesia College is committed to making all possible good faith efforts to comply with state and federal regulations.
If you are a student from a state that does not recognize online classes from Ecclesia College, that state may deem our provision of a course to you to be in violation of their laws or regulations. In such cases, that state could deny you the ability to use a class for purposes of licensure, satisfying continuing education requirements, transfer of credit to a university within that state, or other conceivable honors, certifications, and licenses tied to academic credit or professional development.
It is the responsibility of the student to be certain that the classes they are taking will be applicable for the uses for which they are intended. It is also the student’s responsibility to notify the institution of a change in physical presence. Your relocation to a state during your course of study may impact your ability to continue your program, meet eligibility requirements for that state, and/or receive financial aid funding.
Accreditation and Recognition
Ecclesia College receives institutional accreditation for higher education with The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE; formerly known as AABC). Ecclesia College has been accredited with ABHE since 2005. ABHE is recognized by the U. S. Department of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). For further recognition, please see the About Us page.
Professional Licensure and Disclosures
Currently, Ecclesia College does not offer programs of study leading to professional licensure. Coursework for the Bachelor of Science in Psychology & Counseling degree is not accepted for counseling/counselor licensure in the State of Arkansas. The completion of an accredited master’s program in the appropriate field is required for state licensure.
Students who are considering a program of study that may lead to professional licensure should be sure to contact the appropriate licensing agency in their state of residence before beginning a course of study.
