EC Online Cost & Aid

EC Online is designed to make a Christ-centered college education accessible and affordable. Donor-supported scholarships reduce our standard online tuition so that most undergraduate students pay significantly less per credit hour than the published rate.

This page gives you a clear, student-friendly overview of EC Online tuition, fees, and financial aid options for undergraduate, graduate, and concurrent high school students.

Arkansas residents: you may be eligible for up to $2,000 per year through the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship (with potential increases as you remain enrolled). Eligibility requires Arkansas residency and at least a 19 ACT (or equivalent SAT/CLT score). Apply through the State of Arkansas at sams.adhe.edu. This scholarship is not included in the sample cost example below; if awarded, it would reduce your direct cost.

This example is for illustration only. It does not include one-time or per-course fees such as the application fee, learning management fee, technology fees, graduation fee, or withdrawal fees. Your actual charges will vary based on the number of courses you take and when these fees apply. State scholarships such as the Arkansas Academic Challenge are also not included; if awarded, they would reduce your direct cost.

Your total tuition cost each term depends on how many credits you take. For example, two 3-credit courses in a term equals 6 credits billed at the per-credit rate above, plus the standard online fees.

Undergraduate Fees

In addition to tuition, undergraduate EC Online students should plan for the following fees:

*Instead of charging separate fees for new student orientation, advising, degree applications, re-enrollment and related services, EC Online students pay a one-time Learning Management Fee that covers these services.

Material and book costs vary by course and are not included in the amounts above. Online costs are subject to change; always consult the current catalog and Business Office information for the most up-to-date figures.

Important: EC Online undergraduates are not eligible for the Ecclesia Academic Scholarship, Matching Church Scholarship, or the Work-Learning program. These programs apply to campus and commuter undergraduates.

Graduate Online Tuition & Fees

Graduate EC Online tuition is billed per credit hour at the same rate as on-campus graduate programs.

Graduate online students are also charged a $50 Technology Fee per course and a $45 Course Withdrawal Fee per course withdrawn. Graduate students who have not previously earned an Ecclesia College undergraduate degree are also responsible for the standard application, learning management, and graduation fees listed in the undergraduate fees table.

Concurrent Online Courses for High School Students

High school students taking concurrent EC Online courses now pay the same rates as campus concurrent students:

Financial Aid for EC Online Students

Federal Aid (Pell Grants and Loans)

Many EC Online students qualify for federal grants and loans. Maximum Pell Grant amounts vary by year and are based on financial need and enrollment level.

  • To be considered for federal aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov.
  • List Ecclesia College on your FAFSA so the Financial Aid Office can prepare an aid offer.
  • Any Pell or loan funds that exceed your tuition and fee charges will be refunded to you according to Business Office procedures.

Payment and Refunds

Payment for Online Courses

Because EC Online courses move quickly, payment arrangements must be in place before your enrollment is finalized.

  • Payment must be received and processed at least one week before the term begins so your course(s) can be activated and you have time to obtain textbooks.
  • You may pay by check or credit card through the Ecclesia College Business Office.
  • Questions about paying by check or setting up payment arrangements can be directed to EC Online Student Services or the Business Office.
Refund Policy for EC Online Courses

Refunds for EC Online courses are based on the length of the course and how far into the offering period you withdraw. All refunds are calculated according to the official college refund schedule.

  • For standard online courses, students receive a 100% tuition refund through the first 6% of the course (measured in calendar days).
  • After the last refundable day of the course, there is no tuition refund.
  • The nonrefundable portion of the application, technology, and learning management fees is not returned.
