At Ecclesia College, the health and well-being of our students, staff, faculty, and community is our top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are committed to being responsive as the situation evolves. As believers, we know that our best line of defense is praying for those who are sick, and that God will eradicate the virus.

We strongly encourage you to increase your diligence in healthy activities, such as hand washing, healthy eating, increasing your water intake, getting plenty of rest, and seeking medical care when needed. EC Returning to Campus GuideDownload

The administration team of Ecclesia College has requested and received grant funds made available recently through the CARES Act. The emergency financial aid grants will be
distributed to students based on their Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as reported in their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) documents. Eligible students who
meet the US Department of Education criteria according to the current FASFA they have on file will receive grants. Details on eligibility, grant funding tiers, and distribution can be
found here.

Under Phase 1 of Arkansas’ reopening guidelines, Our Admissions office will begin hosting In-Person Campus Visits in addition to Virtual Campus Visits. We are taking precautions to
protect our guests and employees as we begin to open campus. Here is what you can expect:

  • Staff members will be washing their hands with soap and water after each guest interaction.
  • Guests are asked to follow CDC Guidelines (social distancing, mask usage, etc.)
  • Guests will be required to use hand sanitizer upon entering the premises.
  • Our restroom will also be available to guests if needed.
  • We will be sanitizing meeting areas before and after visits.

We ask that you reschedule your visit if you have a fever, cough, etc.
If you are out of state or prefer a Virtual Campus Visit that is still an option.

We know that you were disappointed to hear our March 25th update with the decision to postpone the 2020 Commencement Ceremony. We are pleased to announce the ceremony
will now take place on August 29, 2020. We are looking forward to celebrating with you and your family this Fall.
We were all disappointed that we had to postpone the 2020 Commencement Ceremony on our March 25th update of the Covid-19 situation. We are, however, very pleased to
announce the ceremony will now take place on August 29, 2020.
It is important to note that your degree will be conferred as usual in May (or when your degree requirements are completed). Plans for graduate school and jobs will not be affected
by the postponement of this ceremony.
We will have more information on Commencement coming soon.

At this time, we are unable to host in-person campus visits. We would love nothing more than to meet you and your family in-person. In an effort to give you a similar experience,
we’ve put together a Virtual Campus Visit.
You and your family will be able to “Visit” Ecclesia College provided through a video call.

Following guidelines from the CDC, Ecclesia College will complete the Spring 2020 academic semester via the alternative instruction model we have begun utilizing this week. All
coursework will continue to be conducted by electronic means between Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, May 5. Final exams will be administered from May 6-8 per the academic
calendar. Taking courses via electronic means can be more difficult than face to face instruction, therefore, communication between the faculty and student will be the key.

Commencement, originally scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 9 will be postponed. At this time a new date has not been decided. However, diplomas will be mailed out as
graduates complete their graduation requirements.

For the week of March 23-27, students will participate in their course of study through an alternative mode of instruction. This mode will consist of the course professor communicating
instruction and assignments through electronic means. The café and dorms will re-open for students who choose to return to campus. Following the guidelines of our local health
services and the CDC, the campus, including dorms and classrooms are disinfected daily. Students who are healthy and have not recently traveled out of the country will be permitted
to fulfill their work schedule on campus. Students who remain at home during this time will complete their work hours when they return to campus.
The administration is closely monitoring updates from the CDC and government officials. Due to the fluidity of this situation, the decision on when to resume on-campus instruction will
be made as quickly as possible and will be communicated on or before Wednesday, March 25. Until students are able to continue face to face instruction, alternative modes of
instruction will be utilized to complete the academic semester.
