Board of Governance

Our beloved friend, John Tate, long time Board member and Chairman of the Board for several years, passed away the evening of October 6th at 89 years of age.  He is now reunited with his Lord and many family members, including Evie, his beautiful wife, who passed only a few weeks ahead of John.

Known to his friends as Tate, he was a visionary who deeply reverenced the Lord and walked in His ways.   We will always be grateful to Tate for the boundless energy and commitment he gave freely to God’s work on earth.  He knew that his life was not his own, and that was made evident through his many years of consistent, selfless service in the Kingdom of God.

An important verse that he repeated again and again was...

“Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He SHALL direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3: 5-6

Tate will be greatly missed by his friends at Ecclesia College.
